Valentines Day

Who We Are
My back and left leg are killing me today.
There's a good reason though -
When my husband got in the shower yesterday, I ran outside to put a valentine surprise in his car. I had found this awsome, large plastic heart that had "I Love You" hanging in the center. I just knew it would look great suspended from his rear view mirror. So, as the shower ran, I slipped my long red coat over my nightgown, slid my bare feet into my church heels that were by the front door, and quickly head down the front steps to his car. I had to hurry, and never considered the patch of ice in the front yard until I hit it with the complete backside of my body! Ouch!! The part that hurt the worse though, was realizing my nightgown had flown up to expose my belly and totally unclothed underside!! Oh my!! I was laying with my leg nearly behind me, completely exposed, bottom end facing my neighbor across the street!! What felt like 30 minutes passed, altho it was merely seconds....I got up, finished placing my surprise in the car, and came in the house right before the shower was shut off! Success!!
When my husband got out to his car, he came back in and said, "What a nice surprise out in my car! When did you get it out there?"

All Of Us

As a mother of nine, kids, ages 24 years down to 19 months, I find very little time to write. Since my training is in journalism, there are many days an idea forms in my mind, urging me to write it out, yet I find very little time to fit it in. Perhaps this is my time.

I have a deep appreciation for all the things Jesus Christ has blessed me with, and do not take any of them lightly. Family, friends, opportunities. My life is full. I want to be a vessel, a positive voice in a sometimes negative world. I want to be a reflection of all that Christ has done in my life, and possibly offer hope to someone who may be hurting.

Being a mom is a journey; one I am grateful to be traveling. I am deeply in love with the one person on earth that loves me like no other could - my husband of nearly 26 years. So, with that, my blog is off and running. Catch you soon!
